At Chalet Christl, your dog is a welcome guest – not merely tolerated. Our panorama apartments sit in a quiet, elevated spot above Schruns, right in the Montafon, making them an ideal base for an active holiday with your four-legged friend. Walking and hiking trails start right outside the door, and the surrounding mountains offer you and your dog almost endless options for shared adventures.
Because we built with natural materials such as clay walls and natural wood floors, even allergy sufferers feel right at home with us.
Up to two dogs are welcome in each of our two apartments, for a small daily fee. After a long day in the mountains, your own infrared sauna is waiting for you while your dog makes itself comfortable on the warm wooden floor. And if you’d like to go out for dinner, dogs are welcome in many local restaurants, such as the Posthotel Taube. Please let us know when booking that you’re travelling with a dog – that way we can prepare everything for you in good time.
You and your dog are well looked after beyond the chalet, too. Dogs may travel on the Montafon mountain railways, though a muzzle may be required depending on the line – at the Kristbergbahn, for example, muzzles can be borrowed free of charge, otherwise you can get them at the tourist information office.
On buses and trains, a leash and muzzle are mandatory, and your dog needs its own ticket. Planning a multi-day tour? Some mountain huts allow dogs to stay overnight with their owners – you’ll find an up-to-date overview at montafon.at. As such rules can change, it’s best to check the current local regulations on site.
One more request: please don’t leave your dog alone in the apartment all day, so that all our guests feel comfortable.
